Randy’s Cowboys Blog
At first, I was not a big fan of Jason Garrett becoming the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. I felt he was getting a free pass for the inadequate play of this team as the OC and assistant Head Coach. I have been so impressed with the improved physical play and mental toughness of the team over that last 8 game stretch, once Garrett was named Interim Head Coach. Jason Garrett was humble enough to go to Duke to meet with a coach K. He is trying to learn from a person who has risen to the top of his profession, as a leader – now, we hope he listens to every word.
Jerry Jones has allowed Jason Garrett to have more power than any Dallas Cowboys coach, besides Bill Parcells, since 1994. I think that is a great move on Jerry Jones’ part. The coach as the power in Dallas, so watch out … this will help the Cowboys gel into a true playoff team. This is exactly what Dallas needed.
