OG, Daniel Loper, has been added to the Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster to replace rookie wide receiver Dwayne Harris. Former Texas Tech, Loper was signed at Valley Ranch, joining Montrae Holland.
Loper, who was a fifth round pick of Tennessee in 2005, spent six season with Oakland, Detroit, and Tennessee. He has started only 9 of 58 games during his six seasons. Loper is 6’6″ and 320 lbs.
The Cowboys signed guard Montrae Holland on Tuesday, the team announced. To make room for Holland, the Cowboys placed starting left guard Bill Nagy on injured reserve. The rookie suffered a fractured right ankle in Sunday’s loss at New England.
The Cowboys now have 10 offensive linemen on the 53-man roster and five wide receivers. If Harris clears waivers, he is eligible to return to the practice squad. Teddy Williams and Andre Holmes are already on the practice squad at WR.
