I consider Tony Romo, the starting QB of “America’s Team,” to be an excellent starting QB in the NFL.
I just cannot understand all the criticism Romo gets from fans and media. Do people not understand that last season he threw for 4184 yards with 31 touchdowns with 31 touchdowns with only 10 interceptions, while playing with fractured ribs against the San Francisco 49′ers and a bruised hand, both injuries lingering for many games.
Here is what Roger Staubach told Norm Hitzges on KTCK-AM in Dallas ….
“It’s really a mystery to me why people don’t understand how really good (Tony Romo) is. The things he can do and the plays he can make, I’m sure Troy (Aikman) would say the same. I think this team is building to support a great quarterback like Romo. If your defense is doing a great job, you can do a lot of things on offense. I think it wears on him because he’s such competitor. He works really hard. His teammates love him. He’s got to continue to get more out of his teammates and that’s his job too and he knows that.”
