Have you heard this before: Miles Austin has a hamstring injury. Yes, it’s true. Just as things are looking fantastic for the Dallas Cowboys, key injuries always seems to happen.
Austin injured his hamstring during Sunday’s win against St. Louis.
Cowboys’ head coach Jason Garrett stated that he doesn’t think Austin has a “severe hamstring injury, but we’ll take his injury day to day and see how he progresses as the week goes on.” Austin has suffered from three hamstring injuries in the past couple of years, and missed six games in 2011 due to separate hamstring injuries.
Dwayne Harris, who caught a touchdown on Sunday, would see more playing time if Austin needs to rest for a bit, along with rookie Terrance Williams. Williams didn’t get a target in yesterday’s game. It’s nice that Austin’s injury isn’t considered serious, but given his history, he could be out quite often this season, especially this weekend against the Chargers.
